
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died January 19 2008. She was an American film voice actress, TV and voice actor. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and appeared in films in the late 1950s. Later, she was a prominent actor in movies like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Later, she was in numerous television shows and was often as a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978 and received a number of Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1 and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of her were Jewish, the descendants of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers.
